C&M Corporation has completed its overmold designs for the M23 circular connectors. C&M can provide this molded connector and other M series shell sizes (i.e. M8, M12) with flex-rated cable and strain relief designs capable of millions of flexes. With the recent standardization of the servo assemblies to Din-style connectors, an over-molded connector offers a lower profile, catch proof, tamper proof, lower cost solution to the all metallic mechanical connectors used on servo motors today. We see opportunities for these types of designs in other markets such as Industrial Ethernet, food processing, robotics, material handling and medical fields. IP watertight ratings are also available on these designs upon request. Shielded versions using copper foils soldered to the shield wires for excellent EMI protection are available.
