What are your manufacturing capabilities?

We manufacture cable, coil cords, mechanical and molded assemblies in the U.S., Mexico and Asia.

What are your cable manufacturing capabilities?

We manufacture thermoplastic cables ranging from 32 AWG up to 250 MCM constructions.

Do you manufacture cables with high flex life?

The design and manufacture of cables and cable assemblies with extremely long flex life (up to millions of flexes) is one of our core capabilities.

4.

Are you capable of manufacturing composite constructions?

C&M can design and manufacture cables that contain power, control and signal conductors of nearly all sizes and materials, including optical fiber, in a static or hi-flex construction.

Does C&M manufacture high-performance coaxes?

We manufacture a variety of coaxial cables from miniature coax to LMR-400.

6.

What kind of InfiniBand assemblies does C&M manufacture?

C&M manufactures cable and cable assemblies meeting the InfiniBand 1X, 4X and 12X performance levels.

What are your cable assembly manufacturing capabilities?

We manufacture mechanical and molded assemblies with straight, ribbon and coil cord type cables.

What types of terminations does C&M use in manufacturing cable assemblies?

IDC, crimp and poke, direct attach, weld and direct-to-board.

9.

Does C&M manufacture connectors?

C&M creates custom connectors to fit a customer’s requirements.  C&M does not offer a line of standard connector products since we enjoy excellent relationships with major connector manufacturers.

What are your coil cord manufacturing capabilities?

We manufacture coil cords with diameters up to 4 inches from nearly any type of thermoplastic cable.

What markets do you currently service?

We consider our main markets to be Industrial, Multimedia, Data Collection, Medical, Defense & Public Safety, and Datacom & Telecom.

12.

What is your standard lead-time?

Lead-time is naturally based upon material availability.  For cables, cable assemblies, and coil cords using standard materials, our normal lead-time is 4-6 weeks.  Where a customer’s schedule is accelerated, many products can be created much more quickly.

13.

Do you stock product?

We predominantly make our products to order, but we will gladly develop a stocking program with a customer to ensure material is always available.

14.

Are you ISO, UL and CSA compliant?

Very simply, Yes. C&M is ISO-9001-certified.  Many of our products are listed with UL and CSA.

15.

Is C&M RoHS-compliant?

Yes, again. C&M cable products are now RoHS-compliant and all of our other products will be compliant well before the July 2006 deadline.

16.

Can you manufacture flat profile cables?

Absolutely. C&M has many standard products with flat profiles suitable for use in DeviceNet systems and festoon cable assemblies.

17.

Does C&M have in-house testing capabilities for flexing, electrical and mechanical?

C&M has extensive test capabilities including flex tests for C-Track, MIL-137776, FT-4, and +/- 360° Torsion.  We also have a UL-certified burn chamber to speed listings.

18.

Can you do silicone-molded assemblies for autoclave sterilization?

Yes.  C&M has developed some excellent techniques to bond silicone rubber to cables and connectors.

19.

Does C&M have in-house mold tooling design and fabrication?

All of C&M mold tools are designed in-house.  Fabrication of the tooling is performed both in-house and at selected leading toolmakers.

20.

Are you a minority-owned company?

C&M is not minority-owned.
